Beauteque Head to Toe April 2015 Bag- Tony Moly

I’m so chuffed to have discovered this bag at my door yesterday! It is the Beauteque Head to Toe April 2015 Bag and this time around, they are featuring 7 Tony Moly products~ ❤

image

Who doesn’t love the cute products of Tony Moly, right? 🙂

image

Info-card;

image

The Tony Moly Face Mix Primer Lip Concealer is a product I cannot wait to try because I have been using other primers and they dry my lips a little. Korean swatches tend to be of those pretty pale-gradient-ombre lips and I guess this would help a lot to reproduce the same effect!

image

It is packaged like a little lip balm.

image

On swatch it looks so much lighter than my skin. It is definitely like a lip balm + concealer. I can’t comment on how it perform yet, but if I like it I will review it with the Face Mix concealer which I am using regularly at the moment! 😀

image

Very happy to have received this in a Head to Toe bag~

Next up is a product I have tried and loved. It is the Tony Moly Tangerine Whitening Hand cream. Can I tell you, this smells absolutely divineeee~

image

Can I have a basket of these on display? Just staring at the cute fruits are therapeutic enough. 😛

image

In case you are curious, this smells alot like the Yeon hallabong products. Tangerines tend to be less sour/ citrusy compared to oranges or lime, and have a unique fragrance to them. The consistency is like something in between body butter and lotion. It doesn’t contain alot of products, but all is good when it looks that cute, no? 🙂

I have also tried this Strawberry seeds 3-step nose pack awhile ago. What it is is a blackhead treatment for the nose area; 1. To open up pores and loosen the dirt and all. 2. A nose strip that helps pull out all the gunk. 3. Soothing pack that calms the skin and shrinks pores.

image

Ingredients and instructions;

image

Many companies have been making these 3-steps nose product. I love it. It’s my guilty pleasure; seeing those suckers getting yank out. Guaranteed satisfaction..

I have also tried this Gold Black Sugar mask scrub before. It is perhaps a dupe of the Skin Food’s black sugar mask and it doesn’t quite measure up but it works well to exfoliate.

image

It smells of burnt caramel sauce. Yum!

image

It’s all gooey and sweet like a jam and you can’t resist but to taste it. But please do not consume your skin care 😛

This cute lips is actually the Tony Moly Kiss Kiss Lip scrub! It’s about time to get a lip scrub because I own a gazillion lip products and everytime you put on a really nice color, you have to make sure there aren’t any chappy bits showing~

image

*swoons*

image

I know this won’t last me long at all, but I might repot something else into this lip casing afterwards. It does not smell of anything in particular. ❤

Next are two heart pumice stones. I would never thought of picking up pumice stones for myself but this is a cute addition!

image

Instruction says to wet feet and scrub to remove rough skin. Might do this since summer is approaching and that spells sandals season!

I don’t know what to make of the Tony Moly Make HD straight cream because I don’t want to have straight hair….probably I can pass this on to someone else who does.

image

Instructions;

image

It smells quite potent. :O

image

This bag is adorbs. It is that close to perfection but misses out on the random hair cream thing.  I love the hand cream, primer and nose pack, and don’t mind the rest as I would use them. 😀 That drawstring bag it came in is super useful as well! I will be storing my bendable flats/ beachwear/ sunnies in it~ ❤

You can get the Head to Toe or regular BB bags, and other product offers here: Beauteque.com (also sign up immediately for a $3 rebate) or find their other monthly subscriptions at Beautequemonthly.com. For mask lovers, rejoice because Beauteque is now offering Mask Maven too (10 mask/ month sub)!

This bag was sent for review purposes but the opinions are honest and true to my experience.

Lioele Secret Pore Rich Balm Primer review

image

I bought this Lioele Secret Pore Rich Balm Primer sometime ago and tested it out before I could pen down some opinions about it. This primer is selling for more than $20++ on various sites but I managed to find it for only $14 (shipped) at rinishop on Ebay. You can thank me later. 😛

The shipping took some 3 weeks and came well packed in a box with one meager Etude house BB foil sample. It’s alright though, considering how much cheaper it was than other retailers. 🙂

image

The primer is sealed with plastic and is palm-size. Each tub contains 20ml of product.

image

In case you are wondering if it has expired (because it is oddly cheap), nope, it has not. Mine was manufactured in 12/2013 so I reckon we have 3 years before it’s expiration in 12/2016.

Instructions and ingredients;

image

You can see that this product contains silicone…which is not a favorite among the beauty people. However, if you are fine with that and never had a sensitive reaction, this product can be golden!

image

The primer is really balmy and it smells pretty nice– slightly floral and powdery. I’m not bothered by it at all. I needed only a small fragment to cover each side of my cheeks so the whole tub may last me 3-4 months at least.

image

The texture was really surprising to me. I have used similar primers (like Tony Moly’s egg one) but this is more solid and when blended, it turns out super smooth and adheres better.

Unblended;

Comparison photo;

image

Just so that you can see clearer and judge for yourself, here is an unlabeled one;

image

You can simply spread it with your fingers or dab it onto more problematic areas. It feels so smooth and velvety after using! ❤

My BB creams, cushions and foundations all sit snugly on my face without streaking or looking cakey. I do realize that this primer perhaps helped with controlling oil as well because I did not see any shine for almost 6 hours with my normal BB cream. It applies as a clear, balmy film on the skin so people who are seeking for cover primers might not like this. What it does is merely to blur out small pores and imperfections so that the makeup base can apply beautifully on top. 😀

image

Pros:
– lovely texture and smell
– covers small pores and imperfections
– slight oil control
– does not break me out
– compatible with most makeup bases
– one tub lasts awhile

Cons:
– not enough coverage for trouble skin
– contains silicone (some people may react to this)
– expensive on many sites/ difficult to find

Verdict? I adore it! ❤ I am using this almost everyday now in stead of my HG primer- the Miguhara BP cream. This is comparable if we throw in the price factor and smell. While the Miguhara is like a real-life photoshopper, this primer is like a laminate on the skin so that everything else sits well. I am lucky to not have too many spots requiring coverage so this is pretty much what I needed! I would definitely repurchase this. 😉

Memebox Superbox #52 Thumbs Up! -thoughts~

image

The Superbox #52 Thumbs Up! memebox is successful box for obvious reasons (that you will read in a little).

The box was released a few months back and I have been beating myself up for not grabbing it. However, it came back on restock and I had to snag one. Superboxes are typically a little more expensive than normal ones (although they ameliorated this difference). I paid $32 with a $6.99 shipping fee but it is totally worth the next product I’m about to introduce.

The Miguhara B.P. cream (30ml, $37) is a cult fav. It is a primer and BB cream that covers like magic and yet feels like light velvet on the skin. What is in this stuff??! Well, these.

image

I like the b.p. cream alot. In fact, I am contemplating on breaking my emergency piggy bank just to get another. It is definitely a HG for me because I can just run out with this on my face look like I have the most perfect complexion. Sobs (of joy). 🙂

image

Be warned though, the b.p. cream might not be for everybody. It does contain mineral oils and stuff which may irritate some sensitive skin (as with most primers anyways), but I have not gotten any adverse reaction from this. I did read on some beauty boards that the primer seems to cake and look powder-ish for some people.

I’m glad to have discovered another jewel. Now if only Miguhara would ship worldwide or sell it for cheaper… 😦

The next product did receive a mixed reaction: the O& Soap berry cleanser (100ml, $13) seems to be a hit or miss. Mine spilled in the box and thankfully did not cause much damage. The back of this packaging was ruined so I emailed Memebox and they offered a little compensation so I shall only post this (better) photo.

image

I reckon I’d have to use it now that it has leaked. The soap smells pretty nice. I agree it can be drying to people who already have dry skin. My advice would be to cleanse with cool water and use a good moisturizer after. 🙂

The Real Beauty Serum (50ml, $22) was selected randomly from 3 other options, and I think I got the D. Bouncy Firming serum. I have a feeling this one is meant for anti-aging.

image

The product claims to have various all-natural ingredients in them and are gentle + nourishing to the skin.

Herbclinic Rice Bran Powder (80g, $10) makes this box an interesting one. I recall that we had not have a lot of mix-to-use mask packs back in the day. This pack contains 100% rice bran powder that delivers intense nourishment.

image

It’s advised to mix this with milk to create the pack. Actually typing this makes me feel more inclined to try it. I’ll decide if I should. 🙂

The 3D Hope Girl Blusher 01 Sexy Rose (5g, $18) is a cool blusher with a sponge attached to it. It also contains allantoin and vit E.

image

Next up is the Rivercowe Sebum Control Convenient compact (8g, $17) perfect for those who needs oil control. I have not tried this myself so I cannot comment on the effectiveness, but the card describes this as “instantly mattifying for up to 8 hours, revealing a natural, flawless complexion with zero shine all day long.”

image

It also shows some of the ingredients upfront. Thyme, Sage, Mint and Chamomile is interesting to have in a compact powder for sure! 😛

The last product I have tried: Kocostar Nail Therapy (4g x 2, $7) are not bad for its novelty. I wouldn’t do them regularly, because I always need to work with my hands and these finger masks are a bit of a hassle. I also don’t think they perform any better as compared to a hand cream.

image

These will be off as free gifts in my coming destash project.

The box contains legit 7 full-sized items. I absolutely love this box! I mean, I love the Miguhara and thinks it alone makes up for the whole box. ❤ I would repurchase this again if it ever comes back on stock lol.
