Memebox My Cute Wishlist 3~

image

Description from Memebox:

This is a Memebox must-have for all you My Cute Wish-list fans out there! You’ll become weak to the knees at the sight of our box full of precious packaging, fun and cheeky names, and all things that are as cute as a button.

If you haven’t already passed out from cuteness overload in our previous My Cute Wish-list boxes, be prepared for a dizzy spell from the explosive levels of adorable in this third box! In all seriousness though, snag the latest addition to the My Cute Wish-list series because it surely will not disappoint.

My parcel took 5 working days to arrive via DHL. I have bundled it with the OMG3 Memebox (reviewed here). Honestly though, the description above claims to make us ‘weak to the knees’ but I was quite disappointed with this box.. Let’s talk about it.

There are 6 items altogether.

1. ddung Family Foam Cleansing Cream (120ml, $12) and I got the 02 Fruits version.

image

ddung (뚱) is apparently the famous doll range in Korea. Big eyes, plump face and other baby features seem to be a hit among some ladies over there and they probably made a range of beauty stuff inspired by that. I think the drawing is cute, but other than that we were probably uninspired by foam cleansers in generic tubes.

The fruits variety contains: plum, grapefruit, peach, apple, tangerine and blueberry. I love the sound of that for a fruit salad, but I think winter are drier months and I would put this up for swaps since foam cleansers do tend to dry my skin out alot.

2. Youngwoosa Oh! It’s Lovely and Soft Cream (45g, $47)

image

I can’t believe this is $47…so I did some digging and found it here for 12,900 retail (approx. $12.90). Not sure how this qualify as cute, but probably the scalloped edge on the box looks cute..?

image

The cream feels like any standard powdery cream. It smells almost…dermatological. 😛 I smell those every day in the clinic to treat itch and dryness so probably they used the same formulation. This is not bad to have at all. I would use it on my young nephew if he has got rashes on his body due to winter dryness. Lol.

3. Shara Shara Kissing Sugar Lip Scrub (10g, $7)

image

I was excited to try this, but sad that it wasn’t anything miraculous after all. It does feel very balmy like it claims, and tastes sweet too (not that I recommend eating it lol). The scrub contains honey extracts, avocado oil, argan spinosa kernel oil and other vegetable oils.

I’ve used it on my dry lips and it was frustrating to scrub after you have washed your face and used a moisturizer or after makeup, so I advise using it before the whole cleansing process. I would not buy this myself, though it fed my curiosity of Korean lip scrubs.

4. Tony Moly Red Cheek Girl’s patch ($2)

image

Though this is the cheapest item in the box, I think it ranks 1st as the cutest. You gotta agree this one is a great gift for anyone! I would not bear to use this lol~ The hydro gel patches are for soothing dry and rosy cheeks.

image

Ingredients include rose flower, aloe vera, apricot, cherry blossom, cucumber and green tea extracts. It says to use for 20-30 minutes like any regular masks.

5. Hope Girl Tinted Lip Balm (8g, $12) in 03 Hot Cherry

image

I got the right shade, but I think I have enough lip products to last me a lifetime at the moment, and Hope Girl isn’t a brand I would look forward to try. Other than that, I think somebody might appreciate a nice pink leopard print tub. This is also pretty similar to the Shara Shara lip tint balm (All About Lips Memebox) though that one smells alot nicer.

6. Shara Shara Fairy’s Make-up Synergy Sun Cream SPF45 PA++ (30ml, $21)

image

This was the standout item from the box and people claimed that it looks creepy. Okay, it is not the prettiest but it looks…just plain jane to me. I can’t believe the elaborate packaging for just 30ml of product, and a boring one on top of that.

image

You can twist it’s upper body to reveal the noozle for the sunscreen. Idk. I don’t think it is cute at all, but I will always need a sunscreen for winter anyways when I go skiing. It claims to be for the face but I will try this on the body instead. Thanks.

image

Nope. Memebox did not even try for this one. Although it might be an awesome box should it be compared to other subs, it does not live up to the theme and value-wise they should be about $45 in total if I am right. I would not buy another Cute Wishlist as they are declining in cute standards. I’ll put my money to solid food themes and skincare boxes. 🙂

Do check out the other available memeboxes here and use my promo codes. These are good till the end of October I suppose, and gives a discount of $5 off all orders (good for one use each).

Chu♥~ It’s all about lips!

I rushed out of my house when the DHL guy pull over. I was not expecting a box that day. Is it my Memeshop order? Or something I won in the preview event?

It was light- about 200g. There was no doubt that this could not be a Memebox, or is it?

I unboxed it and to my surprise, it was the All About Lips Memebox. I had no confirmation of order or tracking for this box, so I assumed it was sent for review purposes as I recalled Miss Lauren kindly reminded me that something was coming my way in our last conversation. 😀

There are 6 items all-in-all.

I will be very objective and honest with my reviews. I have not wanted any makeup Memeboxes for a reason, and it is known that a couple of girls, myself included, have not enjoyed any Cheekroom products from the previous boxes. Will this box finally proof me/ us wrong?

♥♥♥

The first tragedy was with the RiRe Tick Tock Lip Gloss (3.5g, $18). I could not believe a $18 will be headless.. 😦

image

But wrong was I!! You just have to press the top button to reveal the Lip brush! Since I am already sold by this fun factor, it is a good start to a very pouty unboxing ❤

From left;

1.  RiRe Tick Tock Lip Gloss (3.5g, $18) in 05 Beso Red
I was crushed at first thinking the product came without an applicator, which would render it useless..But I was so wrong. The selling factor seems to be the “Tick-tock” effect of the button, making it sanitary to use. Erm, ❤ ! I am quite a germaphobe so this seems to be tailored for me. The lip gloss smells like cherries too~ Sweet!

It is comparable to the Elle lip tint I have gotten from an earlier Memebox. It applies into a beautiful cherry red color. I would not recommend using this to create a full lip, as it is very moisturizing and tends to smudge easily unless you have primed and mattify the lip beforehand. The gloss is not sticky and it glides easily over my lips.

2. Cheek Room Color Lips (4g, $10) in 03 Red
Another red lip product but in the form of a lipstick. This lipstick does not have any particular scent. It is not very creamy at all. The color is pretty sheer and it has bits of glitter in it. The product claims to provide vivid, luminous pearly lips. The color disappointingly, could be removed with a swipe of a tissue. Sadly, I would not be wrong to say that this feels cheap…

3. Royal Nature Paint Mousse Lip Lacquer (5ml, $24) in True Blood
This is one of the rarest color in my lippies inventory. The only other dark red I have is a MAC. I absolutely adore the packaging it came in! The description suggests using this product as a blusher or point eye makeup as well. Okay, cool.

The color is of ox-blood and it makes a good Halloween party color. I would use this to create a gradient or simply on its own when I feel adventurous. You could try the powder-over-paper technique to get a matte effect with this lipgloss on, and then tap some bronze shimmer powder onto the centre of your lips to create a luscious evening lip. 😉

image

From left:

4. Shara Shara Petit Friend Tint Balm OR01 Crown Orange (20g, $8)
The tin it came in is absolutely adorable! I was hesitant to smudge the perfect product, but gotta test it to review it. Sobs. The crown in the centre is actually a lip tint and the rest is the lip balm. Mango seed butter and avocado oil seems to be the main ingredients. This smells absolutely sweet and it reminds me of the cherry popsicles I used to have as a kid. I love how this tint balm looks! It’s very natural and moisturizing. I’ll pop this into my bag~

5. Cheek Room Lip Tint (8ml, $10) in 02 Orange
It has came down to this orange lipgloss finally. Uh. I was ready to be wowed perhaps, but it didn’t. The color is a very pale orange which looks absolutely dreadful on my pale skin. I have used many orange colored lip products in the past, including several Korean brands (ie. Peripera’s lip tint in Mandarin juice) but never have I seen such an effect.

The tint smells of artificial almonds (I’m sure Amaretto drinkers know what I am referring to) and tastes horrid (I don’t recommend tasting this lol). And the tint applies like water! If you think I’m lying, please do a swap with me and try it yourself. 😛 A friend of mine on IG (@Lochan1984) called this the “ghost that hasn’t been well” and I agree it describes the product perfectly.

6. Very Six 6 Seconds Kissing Lip Gloss (10ml, $17)
I’m really pleased there is a saving grace amidst all these Cheek Room. The lip gloss that changes from clear to light pink is totally my thing! I like how the tube design is totally minimal and cool. It claims to make your lips look kissable in 6 seconds and it does! Unfortunately I did not have a test subject for that, but I liked how it moisturizes my lips. The gloss smells really familiar but I couldn’t make up what it was…probably a hotel soap. 😛 I love this and I think whoever kisses a girl with this would love it too. Lol~

Behold the two cutesies~ I have gotten the Shara Shara Kissing sugar from the recent My Cute Wishlist Memebox (review coming up soon) and I think they should both make it into my pouch to induce some envy.

Thoughts

Ordered according to favorite to least favorite;

Royal Nature Paint Mousse Lip Lacquer (5ml, $24) in True Blood
Self-explanatory! It’s Halloween month and this product truly makes up for the whole box! It’s sexy and can be used to create a fine gradient lip. Not surprisingly too, it is the most expensive item in the whole box.

Very Six 6 Seconds Kissing Lip Gloss (10ml, $17)
This gloss not only smells good, but I also love the gimmicky color-change effect though it isn’t as dramatic as some color-change lipbalm I have tried (eg Maybelline). It makes my lips look naturally plump without any obvious color. I’m wearing this out today on top of my Revlon lip butter!

Shara Shara Petit Friend Tint Balm OR01 Crown Orange (20g, $8)
Okay, I got to admit this one is quite cute. Although I personally hate dipping my finger into products, I find the texture of this super yummy. I can use a lip brush too, if I want to keep everything totally hygienic.

RiRe Tick Tock Lip Gloss (3.5g, $18) in 05 Beso Red
To be honest, I think the RiRe fared better than both the Cheek Room products because it is at least pigmented. It might be a difficult color to wear full-lip but I will try gradient it with peach or pink.

Cheek Room Color Lips (4g, $10) in 03 Red
This is alright. It barely made it, but probably thats because there are tons of other lipsticks I have tried that are leagues ahead of Cheek Room;– MAC, Nars or even the drugstore brand Revlon which retails for the same price. Oh dear.

Cheek Room Lip Tint (8ml, $10) in 02 Orange

I can’t decide which Cheek Room product is worse..a pale orange lip gloss that is tacky and comes off after 10 mins of usage, or a sheer red lipstick that isn’t flattering in any way.

 ♥♥♥

This box totaled up to a whopping $87, though I would honestly have paid only $30 for everything. Perhaps this is not the best box I have received to date, but it sure was fun to be able to test out and review everything over a couple of days as compared to jars of creams I fear to open and contaminate. However, if given a choice, I will still choose a skin-care-based box over  makeup ones…

image

I did check out the most recent Korean Lips Memebox and was green with envy at what they receive. Clio, Holika Holika, Peripera and Etude house all in one box?? I realized our makeup boxes are far inferior to theirs somehow. Le sigh.

Do check out the other available memeboxes here and use my promo codes. These are good till the end of October I suppose, and gives a discount of $5 off all orders (good for one use each).

Introducing~ Skinfactory Korea ♥

Ahoj beauties! I received a parcel I have been waiting for ages~ I love the 7 seconds 7in1 Neng Jang Go pads so much that I was extremely excited when Miss Kim Moonyoung contacted me for this review! The brand SkinFactory has been quite popular among memefans lately and I got a good feeling that their products will be a hit with the European market as well.

image

All their products are fragrance-free, pigment-free, preservative-free, alcohol-free and mineral oil-free and are dermatologist tested. I like that their company emphasizes on being as natural and irritant-free as possible. They have several different lines for sensitive skin, speedy skincare and makeup (7 seconds range), ampoule masks and more!

I shall do some quick review and unboxing in this post. It might take some time but I might write a thorough review for some of my fav products from them so stay tuned! 😉

Special Care Creams

There were two creams included in this package for reviews.

image

Left: Skinframe Gold Vita K.I.N.G. Multi cream
Right: W.O.W! Wonder cream Gold Label

I am super excited to try these out as they are both the star products from the Sensitive skin line and are limited edition stuff for this year (2014).

image

Gold included?! Whoa~ *jawdrops*

Gold benefits: to promote blood circulation, helps maintain moisture and improve skin elasticity.

Platinum benefits: biological peptides which are main components of cells, which improve the utility of the cell update. Has also has antioxidant and anti-bacterial effect.

And KING is actually the acronym for;
K-Kamukamu (LOL)– Myrciaria Dubia Fruit Extract
I- Iris vesicolor extract
N- Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Extract
G– Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate

The Vita K.I.N.G. cream is a 10 non-addition, whitening and anti-wrinkle cream meanwhile the W.O.W! wonder cream is 17 non-addition. I will definitely give these a go and see if they are my new HG!

Foaming Cleanser

image image

I absolutely adore this foaming cleanser- the Real Soft Premium Deep Cleansing! I read up about it on Naver and decided to give it a go instantly, although I have like 893749 other cleansers on my counter. 😛

Since it is free of almost all the irritants, it does not have a distinct scent. The texture is pretty much like your Dove shampoo + regular foam cleanser combi– I have never come across such consistency for a foaming cleanser! It has a shiny sheen to it and a little goes a long way. The cleanser foams very well (a small coin size is all you need) and I have used this with my soft facial brush.

After drying my face, the skin feels supple and soft, without the squeaky clean or tight feeling. It is just perfectly prepped for the next step of toner/essence or mask. I totally recommend this and I am using this every morning now! ❤

Touchfit LipTattoo Pack

image

This product is a two-step lip care product.

image

Left:  Skin Factory Touch Fit Liptattoo
Right:  Skin FactorSkinframe 7 seconds Speed White

I have tried this product. I used the speed white as a base concealer for my lips and applied the lip tattoo to the centre of my lips. It felt…gloopy if anything. The smell isn’t the best too– it is quite pungent but given the tattoo effect, this is tolerable. Lo and behold …some lips :

image

I would say although it is gimmicky, the whole lip tattoo thing lasted me through tooth-brushing, drinks and more! It is much better than lip stick, but I can’t be sure if this is worth the trouble because some lip tints can achieve the same effect quicker. I will try it again with a full lip but creating the gradient lip was fool-proof and it turned out quite pretty! ❤

Benefits of the Skinfactory masks;

High Capacity 30ml
Skinfactory masks contain more essence than normal masks in the market.  So you can use the essence not only on your face but also on other parts of your body.

Paraben – Free
Paraben is used as preservatives in major cosmetics.  If you use too much, it can affect the endocrine    system.  Skinfactory products are paraben free.

Cellulose mask sheet
This soft and comfortable sheet is a more effective skincare product than other products in the market.

Skinfactory seven packing mask set (x7)
1. Vega Collagen Ampoule Mask
2. EGF Lifting Tox Ampoule Mask
3. I2PL White Mela-X Ampoule Mask
4. PDT AC Ampoule Mask
5. Aqua Skinin Ampoule Mask
6. Vega Vitaflex Ampoule Mask
7. UV/(Daily UV Care Ampoule Mask

This is a really cool set of masks for everyday use (one daily!). I would buy this for any mask enthusiast or anyone who wants to try Korean masks. It is said that Skin factory masks are so popular that around 100,000 pieces are sold in Korea each day!

image

Directions of use:
1. Before using the pack, clean your face and smoothing facial skin.
2. Open the sheet mask. closely match the appearance of the face and attach the sheet mask evenly.
3. After 15~2Omin. Uncover the sheet mask and gently tap the rest of essence on the skin on your
face, so that it absorbed.
I will try these over the next couple of weeks and update with a detailed review!
image
The last product is this Platinum Rose Wine Ampoule Mask.
It is from the same line as the 7in1 Morning sheets which I am quite bummed to not receive as I ran out of those, but to be fair beggars can’t be choosers and I am still very pleased to be able to review this!
SkinFac2
Skinfac-wish
pictures from Wishtrend.com
This is actually 10+1 sheet masks folded and packed into a container with essence. It might be quite drippy so you would want to use a clean pair of tweezers and put on the mask by the sink. 🙂 I actually look forward to this being included in Memebox’s Wine and Cheese box since it has been in sale on the memeshop! 😛

 Where Can You Buy

If you are in Asia, specifically Korea, Taiwan or Hong Kong, you are in luck because some Sasa, Mannings and Guardian outlets do carry this brand. Check them out at the physical shops and ask the SA all you want to know!

Sasa.com also carries some of the Skin Factory products.

Online shops:

1. Memebox was the first place I have encountered the brand. They do have some products in the Memeshop periodically and when you sign up, you get $3! You can also use my affiliate link and codes for more discounts!

2. Another favorite place to pick up SkinFactory products is Wishtrend. Occasionally they update with new products and there is even a free shipping area.

3. Sometimes you may find SkinFactory products in Qoo10 as well. They do have a separate cart for international shipping, but the page is ever changing and items may be out of stock.

4. You might also use a proxy service to buy SkinFactory products either directly from skinfactorys.co.kr or other sites like Gmarket. Avecko (link here) is one of the popular proxy as introduced by fellow Kbeauty blogger Fanserviced.

5. If you are lucky enough, they may be some listings on Ebay or Amazon as well. Be wary of fake products and do your research well before purchasing!

Have fun shopping and be beautiful~
