Beauteque Head to Toe April 2015 Bag- Tony Moly

I’m so chuffed to have discovered this bag at my door yesterday! It is the Beauteque Head to Toe April 2015 Bag and this time around, they are featuring 7 Tony Moly products~ ❤

image

Who doesn’t love the cute products of Tony Moly, right? 🙂

image

Info-card;

image

The Tony Moly Face Mix Primer Lip Concealer is a product I cannot wait to try because I have been using other primers and they dry my lips a little. Korean swatches tend to be of those pretty pale-gradient-ombre lips and I guess this would help a lot to reproduce the same effect!

image

It is packaged like a little lip balm.

image

On swatch it looks so much lighter than my skin. It is definitely like a lip balm + concealer. I can’t comment on how it perform yet, but if I like it I will review it with the Face Mix concealer which I am using regularly at the moment! 😀

image

Very happy to have received this in a Head to Toe bag~

Next up is a product I have tried and loved. It is the Tony Moly Tangerine Whitening Hand cream. Can I tell you, this smells absolutely divineeee~

image

Can I have a basket of these on display? Just staring at the cute fruits are therapeutic enough. 😛

image

In case you are curious, this smells alot like the Yeon hallabong products. Tangerines tend to be less sour/ citrusy compared to oranges or lime, and have a unique fragrance to them. The consistency is like something in between body butter and lotion. It doesn’t contain alot of products, but all is good when it looks that cute, no? 🙂

I have also tried this Strawberry seeds 3-step nose pack awhile ago. What it is is a blackhead treatment for the nose area; 1. To open up pores and loosen the dirt and all. 2. A nose strip that helps pull out all the gunk. 3. Soothing pack that calms the skin and shrinks pores.

image

Ingredients and instructions;

image

Many companies have been making these 3-steps nose product. I love it. It’s my guilty pleasure; seeing those suckers getting yank out. Guaranteed satisfaction..

I have also tried this Gold Black Sugar mask scrub before. It is perhaps a dupe of the Skin Food’s black sugar mask and it doesn’t quite measure up but it works well to exfoliate.

image

It smells of burnt caramel sauce. Yum!

image

It’s all gooey and sweet like a jam and you can’t resist but to taste it. But please do not consume your skin care 😛

This cute lips is actually the Tony Moly Kiss Kiss Lip scrub! It’s about time to get a lip scrub because I own a gazillion lip products and everytime you put on a really nice color, you have to make sure there aren’t any chappy bits showing~

image

*swoons*

image

I know this won’t last me long at all, but I might repot something else into this lip casing afterwards. It does not smell of anything in particular. ❤

Next are two heart pumice stones. I would never thought of picking up pumice stones for myself but this is a cute addition!

image

Instruction says to wet feet and scrub to remove rough skin. Might do this since summer is approaching and that spells sandals season!

I don’t know what to make of the Tony Moly Make HD straight cream because I don’t want to have straight hair….probably I can pass this on to someone else who does.

image

Instructions;

image

It smells quite potent. :O

image

This bag is adorbs. It is that close to perfection but misses out on the random hair cream thing.  I love the hand cream, primer and nose pack, and don’t mind the rest as I would use them. 😀 That drawstring bag it came in is super useful as well! I will be storing my bendable flats/ beachwear/ sunnies in it~ ❤

You can get the Head to Toe or regular BB bags, and other product offers here: Beauteque.com (also sign up immediately for a $3 rebate) or find their other monthly subscriptions at Beautequemonthly.com. For mask lovers, rejoice because Beauteque is now offering Mask Maven too (10 mask/ month sub)!

Beauteque Head to Toe Breakfast Bag unbagging & review

image Ahoj~ I’ve gotten this Beauteque Head to Toe Breakfast bag last week and given some of it a try. It looks promising at first glance. I know I would love at least half of it already. ❤ You can still get this on Beauteque.com or if you are more interested in monthly subs then take a look at their Beautequemonthly.com site 😀 (more at the bottom of this post~) The info card showing the product names and directions of use;

image

This time, Beauteque gave us a blue floral zip-around bag. It fits everything!

image

There is also a handle on top. I have not used a bag like this since….idk. If you would put in those insulating foams, this will work as a picnic lunchbag too~ 😉

image

Tony Moly Magic Food Banana Hand Milk ($10)

I was most excited for this hand cream. You probably know that I am a sucker for hand creams and beautiful packaging so this is a killer combo!

image image

Screw-top banana that dispenses banana cream? 😀 It smells like those artificial banana essence used to make banana cakes/ breads but I don’t really mind it.. Texture wise this is abit like body butters rather than cream.

image

Its a shame one tube contains so little product and is not really reusable (I always clean and refill my fruit containers). However, I would recommend this as a gift to anyone! It is pretty novel and the hand cream isn’t bad. 🙂

Skin Food Bath Fizzer ($12)

I don’t have a bath tub here in my student accommodation, but I could always use an excuse to find one 😛 I love bath fizzers/salts/bombs! This one is in Green Tea (chosen from other options) and packaged in an egg tray. Points for creativity!

image image

It does not smell like most green tea products at all in its solid form. This bath fizzer smells more herbal/organic and can come off too strong for some. I can’t describe exactly– this scent is a hit or miss.

image

The fizzers contains green tea powder rich in catechin and polyphenol, plus they add luster and resilience to skin. I am tempted to try the other types— honey jasmine and peppermint sounds lovely!

Etude House Sunshine in Spoon Scrub massage Yoghurt ($6)

This is a product that I have tried in the past but don’t mind getting again. They come in various types; Sugar Apple and Raspberry. I love both flavors equally and can’t say which is better…Both smells delicious. 😛

image

As the name suggests, this is a gentle scrub which requires a couple of minutes of massaging. After cleansing, your skin will feel smooth and supple.

image

Ingredients list can be found here. If you love yoghurt products that smells so good that they are almost edible, I suggest checking out Innisfree’s yoghurt packs and Laneige’s multiberry yoghurt sleeping packs. Those are my top 2 yoghurt loves~ ❤

Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask ($5)

There is a bloom of basic pantry ingredients products lately- egg, mayonnaise, sugar, salt. You name it. It may sound iffy at first but some of those do work for me!

image

And don’t worry, this one does not smell of poultry or rotten eggs at all! Amazingly it is also free of paraben, mineral oils, benzopenone-9, and triethanolamine, making the mask suitable for sensitive skin.

image

I do think anyone who wants brighter skin should try this. Another product from this range which I felt was worth trying is their Mousse Pack.

They were some of TCFS’s bestsellers.

I love TCFS for their whimsical and original designs. I bet many do too, and that prompts counterfeiters to mass-produce fakes to sell on Ebay. Please be aware~ Thankfully, we can trust Beauteque for their authentic product curations.

Echoice Fermented Tea Drinks Sleeping Pack ($12)

I have had another tube of this sleeping pack and used more than half of it already. While it contains all the goodness of jasmine, rose and green tea, this pack is incredibly mild. Not that it does nothing, but it puts on a coat to protect the skin against drying in the driest of winter.

image

Texture wise, it is a lucent cream which spreads like watery gel. It does not smell of anything in particular…probably only slightly of tea.

image image

I would not say this is an amazing product. it did not wow me but I would still use it once in awhile…like vaseline lol. E choice produces some really cheap but okay products. Their marketing strategy seems to be to promote a “Good price market” standpoint (similar to the next product by Evas). Most of their hand creams, cleansers etc are only $2-5! 😀

Evas Vitamin Cleansing Foam ($10)

I had hopes for this…but the reviews were not promising. The lovely girls of Reddit and MuT investigated the pH and found that this was pH10– too alkaline for the skin. 😦 I am not huge on pH but I know that 10 is incredibly high. Oddly though, this claims to contain vitamins, AHA etc and I would have assumed that this is slightly acidic but thats not the case.

image

First impressions seemed to be alright but urgh I will not be using this myself.

image

I don’t know if anyone would…this will go into my free items stash. :/

I like Evas. I mean, they make some really good products like the MaRait perfumes and Kiss the Perfume cherry blossom hair stuff. This just isn’t it.

Lastly, Beauteque’s lifestyle product this month: a cherry apron! That was quite unexpected.

image

I lol-ed at the price marked for each products. They tallied up to an RRP of around $25 + some shipping. I do think this one had the lowest retail price of all the bags I have received before…I didn’t mind that because I love the first three products and think that the beauty bag serves a purpose: for us to discover things that we otherwise wouldn’t buy for ourselves.

image Kudos to the team for putting up a mix of products each time. Would you purchase this bag for the fun of it? You can get the regular BB bags and other product offers here: Beauteque.com (also sign up immediately for a $3 rebate) or find their other monthly subscriptions at Beautequemonthly.com. For mask lovers, rejoice because Beauteque is now offering Mask Maven too (10 mask/ month sub)!

I finally got the The Korea’s Most Wanted 2 Memebox! :D

So Memebox is finally breaking up with us global customers. They are still resuming sales to Korea, China and USA though. I am sad– we all are, but life has to go on. Before the breakup happened, I got myself this box: The Korea’s Most Wanted 2 during the restock-and-review event. I paid $35.99 upfront and decided to grab this and do a proper review on it. After all, I adored the first edition of the Korea’s Most Wanted Memebox (that one is stellar btw).

I had to forego this months ago when it was released because of my tight student budget…but here it is now 😀

image

The info card (front and back);

image

image

Elroel’s Tone Up Starter Sungel SPF 50+ PA+++ (50ml, $43) is something I really need for the longest time. It is a green sungel that can double as a starter and a screen protector. Theoretically it sounds perfect: SPF 50, gel, brightens and moisturize? Sign me up, thanks.

image

I don’t think it looks like a gel at all upon the swatch though…Okay perhaps I put a little too much to demonstrate. And the outlet was stuck with hardened bits of sunscreen. :/

image

The smell is totally like those generic sunscreens out there and texture wise it is kinda heavy… 😦

image

I might use this sparingly on my neck and arms but it isn’t for my face. I will stick to liquid sunscreens and heavier spf bb creams like Hanskin.

Hiello – Blooming Multi Firming Cream (50ml, $50) smells really nice, but I can’t immediately pick up roses at all. Description says it is formulated with blends of poppy, vitamin, collagen, green tea water, Damascus rose water and centella asiatica– one of my fav ingredients in any product, everr.

image

It does feel more expensive as compared to other creams out there in plastic tubs and flimsy lids. Bonus points! Mine also will expire in April of 2016, so I can use it up slowly 😀

Other ingredients, in case you are curious;

image

I don’t normally like firming creams because they tend to be heavy, but I adore this one! ❤

image image

It does feel more like a light creamy lotion. Upon blending, it disperses into a gel-like texture and absorbs very well. My skin definitely feels plumper and more moist. I’m loving it so far and I think this makes a wonderful night cream or even a daily moisturizer in the winter.

The Tang Tang Kissy Skin Therapy Peeling Wash (100ml, $23) is refreshing to have in a Memebox. All the cleanser, moisturizer and masks– I needed more peeling stuff! I’m glad to get to try this one though because I stalked the Memebox sister site and saw that it had a good rating on it.

image

“The Tang Tang” is such a cute name for a brand and I only wished someone would design a cute packaging befitting its name.

image

The peeling wash dispenses as a gel and (I know the description says to let it harden for 40 seconds but…) immediately you can massage and feel the globules forming! It does not smell of anything in particular and it reminds me of some of those Japanese/Taiwanese peeling gels I have tried in the past.

image

I love it! It doesn’t feel too harsh on the skin. I know for sure those globules are not my dead skin, but it does exfoliate pretty well. After washing, my skin feels soft and clear. Pretty happy with it. 😀

Kskin Emu Leg R-Free Massage Cream (100ml, $46) contains all the quirky stuff in it. Erm… emu oil?? It reminds me of those herb vendors/Chinese acupuncturists in Asia. If you are familiar with Tiger balm, you would probably know what I am saying… I was half expecting it to smell that way but it doesn’t!

image

Hangul instructions, ingredients and stuff.

image

If you tried the Elizavecca one from Memebox #16 and didn’t like the strong menthol smell, this might be a better alternative. It is a clear gel formula that spreads like water and feel cooling on the skin without being too overpowering! ❤

I am soooo keeping this one for summer after a long day out walking under the hot sun. Just the perfect body gel I need!

(this box is seriously doing well so far! 😀 —well except the dud sungel..)

LadyKin One Touch Bling Glow Lipstick (3.5g, $11) is the sole makeup product in this box. It was also the first thing I checked out once I unpacked the Memebox. Hello Deep Plum Burgundy!! My wish came true~ (T ▽ T)o

image

There is just a 50-50 chance of me ever getting the shade/selection I want for my Memeboxes but this is such a pleasant surprise. I definitely did not want that fall rose or chic red.

image

On swatch under natural light, it does seem a little lighter than expected. (Photo above shows two strokes) It does not build up too much but I’m okay with that.

image

Formula wise it is pretty smooth to apply. One small flaw is that it does not stay for long. *sigh* I know, I know…it doesn’t claim to be waterproof or anything but having chronic polydypsia, I would love it if my lippies would stay put. Okay I will just reapply any time. This one is a keeper for now.

The Face Shop Calendula Eden Essential Moisture Essence (35ml, $9) would be something I wouldn’t pick for myself at The Face Shop but am happy to get because I just ran out of my essence (A-true White Snow Tea Brilliant Essence; check it out, it’s quite fab). Calendula is a type of flower (aka marigold) and it smells really clean: almost of clean hotel sheets.

image

Sealed for freshness! 🙂

image

Mine expires in 2017- proving how amazing Memebox is as their products are almost 98% fresh. True story.

image

Germaphobe me thanks you, The Face Shop, for hygienic pumps. 😀

image image

Verdict? I like it. It is a really basic creamy essence- a tad lighter than my previous A-true one. I like how easily it absorbs into my skin. It also did not cause any breakouts or anything after using it day and night (even under my makeup). I will continue to use this in my routine.

My favourite product from this box are the Hiello Blooming Multi Firming Cream and Kskin Emu Leg R-Free (what the hell does R-free even mean 😛 ) Massage Cream. ❤ The sungel did not perform as well as I thought it would and the Ladykin Lipstick was a tad less pigmented than preferred.

image

Total memevalue came up to $182 and that is just insane. Okay, maybe they did jack up the value a tad, but I think it does come up to $80 bucks all in all (I checked their RRP on a Korean portal). I’m pretty pleased with everything in this box and i think Koreans might actually like these. 🙂

~~~
You can still get Memebox if you are in USA. China or Korea. I hope you’ve enjoyed my review on this box. Do drop me a question on the comment box if any. 😉
Happy memeshopping! ❤
