Memebox Superbox #53 My Honey Box~ ♥

 image

I have received a surprise mail from Memebox!!! ♥ They are a subscription box company and experts of all things K-beauty and they do ship worldwide to most countries. I am soooo addicted to my Memeboxes and have been a loyal customer for almost a year now!

The Superbox #53 My Honey Box is a Memebox packed with all goodies one can imagine, all made from the sweet natural ingredient. I would say this one is a fabulously curated box as it fits the theme perfectly and is very well-rounded;- with hand cream to peeling gel and even a lip treatment product! I always have an affinity for food-themed boxes such as cacao, café, milk, wholegrains and now I am a honey convert.

I missed the first honey box and was beating myself up for it, but now that I am given this opportunity to review it, I shall not hesitate to dive into the box and flip it over and sideways to pen down honest reviews about each product. Lets get to it!

This box cost $29 to purchase (+$6.99 for standard shipping) and consists of SEVEN full-sized product. Which other company can give you that??

I will unbox and review this box in descending order from the product I am most excited to try!

Note: On each product is the “purchase this product” link. It leads to the Memebox page for the specific product and may be sold out. Just click on it if you are interested and Memebox will be able to prioritize restocking products based on visits and wish-lists!

 ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~(◕␣◕)
My absolute must-try from this box is the Migabee Anti-pollution RE-peeling (100ml, $37)! I love the brand Migabee, and have already tried the cream from the same range (obtained in Memebox OMG#3- reviewed here).
Not only does the product make your skin feel soft, it also cleans the pores and prevents blemishes. Enriched with honey, bee venom, propolis and royal jelly–a luxury item indeed, the peeling gel claims to exfoliate off all the gunk from my face without jeopardizing the skin balance.
image
The product dispenses out as a clear gel and is easy to spread. I have used a similar peeling gel before from St. Ives and that one was super pungent! This might not smell great, but at least it is not irritating my olfactory senses. 🙂 Think of a clear glue, it works that way. You will spread a generous amount all over the face, wait several minutes for it to dry and peel off.
image
I did as per instructions and it took me 4-5 pumps to cover my whole face. I think this tube might last me less than 10 uses. The time taken for the gel to dry was about 12 minutes for me. This depends on your skin and room temperature of course.
11
The peel comes off easily and I manage to get most of it off in one go:
image
There will be some bits left behind on your eyebrows/edges of your nose so here’s a tip! Take a cotton pad and get some warm water on it. Gently swipe the areas with the bits and they come off easily!
The result is a clear, matte and bright complexion! I never had a mask/pack that could do this. Clear? Yes. Bright? Maybe. Matte? Hey! ♥ My face feels clean and rejuvenated, ready for the next step. Luckily in this box, we have 3 options of what to do next; the water cream, sheet mask or massage cream! Read on~
I will love to see more from Migabee in the future Memeboxes. There are several things I will be pleased to get from their bee line, besides other fabulous products on the site!
 ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~(◕␣◕)

The Pure Smile Lip Treatment Honey (10g, $5) is another highly raved product from this box. Several ladies were urging me to try it on the forums, fb group and Instagram. I hear ya! Honey, snail mucus, grape seed oil and shea butter? Yes, yes, yes! These are all renowned for their moisturizing properties and combined, they make DA BOMB. ♪

This container with a total length about 9.0cm contains 10g of product.

image

The lip treatment feels like a gloss-slash-lipbalm and aims to moisturize, nourish and protect dry, chapped lips. I have a stash of lipbalms and they are a must-have in this dryer winter season! I would apply this right after my face cleansing routine to let the product work and warm up my lips before makeup.

image

Pure Smile is made in Korea but you can see Japanese characters on it because it is sold in Japan. I have also received their facial sheet masks in various boxes. Their stuff are alright.. (I have to be honest that their products are sometimes a hit or miss), but do not cost a fortune to repurchase. If you are ever looking to try sheet masks, I would personally recommend Pure Smile over say….Purederm. 😛

I know of some other sites selling this lip treatment for a hefty $9.90 but Memebox has it at $5 and it is always sold out because of its popularity! Drop this into your wishlist, and who knows if Memebox will take notice of the demand and restock it! 😉

♦ Purchase this product here ♦

Pure Smile has a bunch of other flavors for this lip treatment range namely chocolate, milk, mix-fruits and strawberry. It all sounds super exciting, and I hope we will see this Memefavorite on the site in future. Check out the company site here (in Japanese);

 ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~(◕␣◕)
I am a hoarder of hand creams and I was thrilled to see one in this box! The Enesti Apple and Honey Shea Butter Hand cream is 50g and retails for $5.
I cannot explain with words how good this smells!! Like MAGIC? I wish you can get a whiff through your screen.. 😛
This smells really sweet and it reminds me of a shower gel my little nephew uses, but better lol. I love sweet scents a lot and will pop this into my handbag immediately after my Secret Key one is gone (from Floral scentbox). I will always keep a hand cream in it because my work in dermatology requires a ton of disinfectants all day long. I risk ruining my hand with alcohol from patient to patient so hand creams are my savior, really. 🙂
image
The Enesti hand cream moisturizes really well and kept my hands from getting dry and wrinkly even in the coldest weather (it was 2 degrees Celcius here lately).
image
I really can’t find any fault in this! The only problem I have is probably where to find a replacement of it once it runs out~ Fortunately, Memebox has it ready-to-stock on their site!
♦ Purchase this product here ♦
Enesti seems to have a whole lot of perfumes on their webpage, which explains their expertise in scents. I don’t mind seeing more of their scented products on Memebox, really. In fact I am rooting for a perfume to be in my Meme Pouch essentials! 🙂
~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~(◕␣◕)

My next favorite product must be the Edmong Honeybee Water Cream (50ml, $29).

This is no ordinary cream as it spreads from a gel to water consistency, hence the name “water cream”. It absorbs to leave my skin absolutely cool and fresh without a thick sheen some gel creams tend to have. I have a similar mask (from the Tea cosmetics box- echoice) and that one does leave a slight sheen. I don’t get any lint or hair in my face with the Edmong cream which is a huge plus!

image

Gosh, the texture of this is just delicious. I mean, just look at it! ❤

image

The cream have a slight tea-jasmine-honey scent to it but does not linger after application. I would use this after essence (as a second step) and apply thicker serum or a light facial oil on top of it. Otherwise, I could just use a generous amount as a sleeping pack and wash it off the next morning to reveal a bright and even complexion! This is quickly becoming my staple night routine product.

12

(photo from the company site) I have tried this and it is an accurate depiction of what it does! ❤

I have not heard of the brand Edmong if it wasn’t for Memebox. I do spy a few other wants on their webpage~ *wipes drool*

The Daycell Essential Honey Lift Massage Cream is 150ml and costs $20. At first I thought it was a body massage cream but nope, this is for my face! It is a mix of honey, collagen and other nutritious ingredients that will firm and improve the skin’s elasticity. I think this will suit my mum’s skin more as she complains of the first signs of aging.

image

Oh hey the design and colors almost remind me of the Zivon Plu body scrub (which I absolutely love btw) from Memebox Hair & Body #1.

13

This product is a white cream that feels quite thick, albeit being dispensed out stickier…almost of a hair conditioner consistency. I almost think it smells like one of those Dove shampoo too. 😛 It is unique because we have to massage it on the face and do a gentle rolling process to boost absorption and blood circulation. Trust me, I have employed this technique occasionally and my skin looks well-rested and bright the next day. Or as Sandara Park from 2NE1 would call it; A botox without injections!

image

I woke up and washed my face as usual. It does feel more moisturized but I’m not sure if my daily skin care routine is working magic or if the result is from this product alone. I might need a longer time to report back the miracles, if any!

We do see this brand quite abit on the Memeshop recently (yes Re-DNA, Dr.Vita and pH Plan are some lines from the brand Daycell!). I predict more products from them in the future Memeboxes, especially the pH Plan apple products in the Mojito box. :O

Are we there yet? Nope!

I am skeptical about more Memebox hair products as I have tried a ton of them, mostly masks and wash-off treatments. This Mi Click Honey Treatment (30ml, $5) probably will last for 2-3 washes (I have a short bob atm). It claims to nourish my hair and treat damaged ends, which I don’t currently have though.

image

I followed the directions of use: shampoo-> towel dry-> apply this treatment -> rinse off after 5-10 minutes. It smells like the saloon I used to frequent as a kid. Not bad. I did not see a vast improvement or anything, though my hair feel soft and less frizzy I guess. This is one of those products I would not have purchased for myself if I was wondering down the hair product aisle, but am happy to have received for free to test out.

~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~(◕␣◕)
Huff huff…and finally, the last product in the box; the From Nature Multi Effect Honey Mask ($1). This mask contains real honey, collagen and 9 different herbals ingredients. It smells yummy and feels really cooling on my face. I think it does what it says it will; to soothe and brighten up the overall complexion.
image
You would use this like any normal masks; on a clean face for 15-20 minutes, remove and pat remaining essence for full absorbance. Nothing atypical at all. 🙂
image
The mask is not super wow or anything…I prefer the Skin Factory ampoule honey mask over this one (and Skin Factory was once upon a time introduced to me by Memebox too!). For only $1, this mask is worth trying for both honey and sheet masks lovers.
This box is undeniably amazing in terms of quality, value and range. It sums up to $102 in value and I trust the Memevalue of this one. ❤ The Migabee anti-pollution peeling gel would have made up for the cost of the box itself and I was so pleased to find everything else in this pink box– I can hardly place them back the way they came to me!
image
I am totally a Honey-convert now and will look forward to more future food-themed boxes~ 🙂 I would love to personally thank Memebox for this amazing curation. Words cannot express how indebted I am to Miss Lauren of their affiliates team for choosing us “small-fry” bloggers as their reviewers and organizing the new program altogether despite her heavy workload. 😉
Memebox Global #16 unboxed!
image
I wasn’t particularly thrilled about Memebox #15 but probably this one revived my love for the regular memeboxes. Well, sort of. Firstly, this is skincare heavy. I have a tendency to love skincare-oriented Memeboxes more than Makeup ones, so I’m already biased with this~
There are 6 products altogether in this box, the RiRe products being counted as 1. 4 are skincare, 1 bodycare and another a hair product sample.
Elizavecca Shrink Lift R Pro 120ml, $28
image
First up, lets talk about Elizavecca- everyone’s favorite piggy brand at the moment. This is the second “slimming” product I have received from Memebox (first being the Annagaspi body patch from H&B1).
I was excited, because we needed something else other than more cream moisturizers and foam cleansers. Elizavecca gave us some fabulous products in the past: collagen packs and bubbling masks to name a few.
image image
This product promises to soothe swollen calves and increase skin elasticity and firmness. It contains mandarin, coffee, sage oil, peppermint, winter green and mate leaf extracts. This smells of really strong menthol, so those who don’t like menthol might hate this product.
I like mint, but this is a different kind of heat. I love the idea of a cooling massage at the end of a stressful day, but I might need someone to do that for me lol. Will definitely keep this for summer months, because I can’t bear to walk around smelling like I have been to a Chinese massage parlour/ a walking pot of Tiger balm..
Unni Recipe Vitamin Recharger Mist 130ml, $24
image
There is no mistake that this is a Vitamin mist. It smells of oranges! I feel like I have spritzed on non-sweetened OJ on my face. It’s refreshing, really.
Taken from the info card;
‘This mist is enriched with 6 different vitamins and hyaluronic acid. Plus, it’s completely free of paraben, benzophenon, mineral oil, aocohol, tri-ethanol, and artificial coloring, thus making it gentle enough to be used by all skin types.’
imageIngredients in English.
I can’t find any fault in this mist so far. I would try it for abit and add the Blithe Yellow Citrus energy to it when I get my hands on some.
Hair+ Velvet Nutri-Injection 12ml, $5
image
Well, Memebox did claim that this is full-size… I don’t know what to think of another hair product. I love shampoos, but I can’t be bothered about treatments or masks and such. I will not comment further until I have tried this myself.
Fortunately though, this product does not require rinsing and claims to give us an experience of a hair clinic program.
Delskin Centella 90 Power Ampoule, 30ml, $14
image
I love Centella Asiatica as much as Tea Tree oils. Both are excellent ingredients for oil and trouble control. I am still using the (Skin 1004) Centella essence from an early Oil & Trouble Memebox and I love how it quietly does its job. No, it wasn’t miraculous or anything, but my skin just stays the way it is without purging etc.
This one is roughly the same, except that I would use this as the second step of my makeup routine and not as the first. A few drops is all we need and we can top with a moisturizer afterwards.
image
RiRe Style Black Head Brush Cleanser & Skinny Black Head Closing Serum 40ml & 20ml, $18.
image
I have not decided how I feel about these. I have a line of cleansers sitting in my counter and bathroom, so I will only try it in a few months’ time and report back here. This is an interesting product though, as it is packed with black food complex: black rice, black beans and black sesame.
I wondered if this could have landed in the blackout Memebox instead, but I’m glad they added this product instead of a lipstick or another hair treatment pack.
Ingredients of the cleanser;
image
The cleanser came with a brush designed to clean the pores off dirt, impurities, blackheads etcetera. It does sound all very exciting and reminds me of the L’oreal/Garnier exfoliating cleanser I have bought sometime ago. I wonder if this will be the next HG thing.
image
Ingredients of the Serum;
image
Very nice job including the closing serum with the cleanser!
Mizon Snail Recovery Gel Cream 45ml, $24
image
This is actually my third tube and I don’t think it retails for $24, no. It is under $10 and ubiquitous. The cream is affordable and fantastic, so I didn’t mind a third one, really. You can read how I use mine here.
Overall, this box is not bad at all. Value wise it is definitely not as high as some of the other Memeboxes we have received. It is short of $100 and costed me $23 to buy, so I ain’t complaining. I would still try my luck at the global boxes because it is afterall their signature box, and I don’t think they will screw it up in a long run. #17 and #18 are set to come my way, and I hope to see more potential HG things in them!
Memebox global #15! We have come a long way~
image
Ladies of the beautyverse~ I’ll be unboxing my Memebox Global #15, which arrived within 2 weeks via RM post. I bought this box for $23 + $6.99 for standard shipping. I am sure I have used some points and codes for this and it was wayyy cheaper than $29.99. Look out for the codes and other perks at the end of this post!
This box contains 6 full-sized item + 1 deluxe sized BC cream. Lets dive into it~
♦♦♦♦♦
I shall kick off with my favorite item in this box;
miss.age Snail Anti-Wrinkle Serum (50ml, $53).
Description on the Memeshop:
Enriched with over 5500mg of snail extracts, this anti-wrinkle serum helps nourish the skin from deep within, delivering nutrition and tightening care at the same time. This serum will be ideal for dry, saggy skins.
HOW TO USE
Apply the serum over your forehead, cheeks, and chin and gently spread it over your face. Use it every morning and night.
image
With their tagline “Forget now, feel your glory days” we know that this brand’s target audience is someone above the age of 30. However, anti-aging care starts earlier at a tender age of 25! With the smog and stresses of daily life, it is best to take care of our skin by providing all the nutrients it need.
image
My thoughts: When you unscrew the cap and use the dropper, the product dispenses out as a mucinous serum. It is akin mixing the Mizon snail repair cream gel + any ampoule for example the Centella Asiatica ampoule. There is slight to no smell at all. Once spread, the serum turns into a watery consistency and absorbs very well to leave a slight sheen on the face. I think this is a pretty great night care serum~
Do you know this range came from one of the Memefav brands, Re:cipe! You can check out the site by clicking on the logo below;
You can also purchase this product from the Memeshop for only $29 (limited until sales end).
♦♦♦♦♦
There were mixed reviews about having two hair products in the box. I personally didn’t like getting too much, because I have my specific hair care. However, I might be willing to try this out;
Mise en Scene Perfect Serum (70ml, $9)
image
Is this liquid gold? I might have to test it out once I run out of my current fav, the L’oreal Mythic hair oil!
This product contains 7 different natural oils; argan, camellia, olive, jojoba, coconut, apricot, marula.
image
In case you read Hangul.
I like that it is light and does not feel oily on the scalp. It smells like a saloon product lol.
♦♦♦♦♦
This one looks absolutely golden;
Mise en Scene Perfect Repair Treatment Pack (180ml, $16)
It feels like the Mise en Scene came in pair and this is for a 2-step hair care. It was suggested that we should use this twice a week for optimal results.
image
I can replace this with my conditioner after it is gone. The conditioners I have previously received from Memebox are quite good; the Ryo anti-hair loss, Kiss the Perfume Cherry Blossom hair conditioner and some. Honestly, I am optimistic about this one and will give it a try myself!
♦♦♦♦♦
You never knew cleansing can be stress relieving until you encounter the Ariul Stress Relieving Purefull Cleansing Foam (75ml, $8).
image
I don’t know when I will use this as I still have tons of unused cleansers. Maybe I have a problem lol! I know foam cleansers are fantastic to control oily skin, so this will probably go to a friend who needs one as I have normal-dry skin especially in Autumn!
We have seen the brand Ariul previously from the Memebox Earth & Sea (facial mist), and I quite like the funky design of the packagings. Everything feels youthful and fun. Check out the masks on Memeshop!
♦♦♦♦♦
TonyMoly BCDation All Master SPF30PA+++ (20g, full-sized 50g for $24) claims to be the breakthrough product with all BB, CC and foundation formulation. It is a makeup base with added benefits – high coverage, natural-looking, moisturizing, whitening, anti-wrinkle care and radiance.
image
I will be honest to say I am difficult to please when it comes to makeup bases. I have tried hundreds of BB, CC and foundations, and will adhere to my favorite one for a long time. The first BCDation made me skeptical to give this a try as it was streaky and my skin became too shiny in just several hours. I might, when I will run out of the 947572932 BB creams I am trying at the moment. 20g makes it a good travel product though!
♦♦♦♦♦
2 final ones are more makeup products;
Tosowoong Makeon Lip Manicure 30 Seconds (5.5g, $12) in 03 Pure Peach
Shara Shara I Wanna Pencil Gel Liner ($8) in BKo1 Deep Black
image
These are some of the more usable decorative makeup I have received. I love a good lip gloss/tint and liner for everyday use. The lip manicure looks natural but is a little sticky. It is all gone when I eat, leaving a slight color. I had to reapply.. The Shara Shara liner is pretty standard and does not beat my Japanese liners.
One of the reasons why I think the brand has potential is because their ambassador is L–LOL~ He is a rising star from the group Infinite and is appearing in various dramas lately; “Single Cunning Lady” and “She’s so Loveable” to name a few.
Good marketing strategy.
Well, the box is mainly makeup and haircare- two of the things I do not prefer to receive…but I can’t complain because the regular globals are always random and aims to provide us with a range of stuff to diversify our beauty inventory.
image
Value-wise, everything totaled up to a memevalue of about $118 but I would personally value it at $40. This is my least favorite box of all the globals I have received. I hope the next one (#16) will be more exciting.
Do check out the other available memeboxes here and use my promo codes. These are good till the end of October I suppose, and gives a discount of $5 off all orders (good for one use each).
