I have received a surprise mail from Memebox!!! ♥ They are a subscription box company and experts of all things K-beauty and they do ship worldwide to most countries. I am soooo addicted to my Memeboxes and have been a loyal customer for almost a year now!
The Superbox #53 My Honey Box is a Memebox packed with all goodies one can imagine, all made from the sweet natural ingredient. I would say this one is a fabulously curated box as it fits the theme perfectly and is very well-rounded;- with hand cream to peeling gel and even a lip treatment product! I always have an affinity for food-themed boxes such as cacao, café, milk, wholegrains and now I am a honey convert.
I missed the first honey box and was beating myself up for it, but now that I am given this opportunity to review it, I shall not hesitate to dive into the box and flip it over and sideways to pen down honest reviews about each product. Lets get to it!
This box cost $29 to purchase (+$6.99 for standard shipping) and consists of SEVEN full-sized product. Which other company can give you that??

My absolute must-try from this box is the Migabee Anti-pollution RE-peeling (100ml, $37)! I love the brand Migabee, and have already tried the cream from the same range (obtained in Memebox OMG#3- reviewed here).
Not only does the product make your skin feel soft, it also cleans the pores and prevents blemishes. Enriched with honey, bee venom, propolis and royal jelly–a luxury item indeed, the peeling gel claims to exfoliate off all the gunk from my face without jeopardizing the skin balance.
The product dispenses out as a clear gel and is easy to spread. I have used a similar peeling gel before from St. Ives and that one was super pungent! This might not smell great, but at least it is not irritating my olfactory senses. 🙂 Think of a clear glue, it works that way. You will spread a generous amount all over the face, wait several minutes for it to dry and peel off.
I did as per instructions and it took me 4-5 pumps to cover my whole face. I think this tube might last me less than 10 uses. The time taken for the gel to dry was about 12 minutes for me. This depends on your skin and room temperature of course.
The peel comes off easily and I manage to get most of it off in one go:
There will be some bits left behind on your eyebrows/edges of your nose so here’s a tip! Take a cotton pad and get some warm water on it. Gently swipe the areas with the bits and they come off easily!
The result is a clear, matte and bright complexion! I never had a mask/pack that could do this. Clear? Yes. Bright? Maybe. Matte? Hey! ♥ My face feels clean and rejuvenated, ready for the next step. Luckily in this box, we have 3 options of what to do next; the water cream, sheet mask or massage cream! Read on~

I will love to see more from Migabee in the future Memeboxes. There are several things I will be pleased to get from their bee line, besides other fabulous products on the site!

The Pure Smile Lip Treatment Honey (10g, $5) is another highly raved product from this box. Several ladies were urging me to try it on the forums, fb group and Instagram. I hear ya! Honey, snail mucus, grape seed oil and shea butter? Yes, yes, yes! These are all renowned for their moisturizing properties and combined, they make DA BOMB. ♪
This container with a total length about 9.0cm contains 10g of product.
The lip treatment feels like a gloss-slash-lipbalm and aims to moisturize, nourish and protect dry, chapped lips. I have a stash of lipbalms and they are a must-have in this dryer winter season! I would apply this right after my face cleansing routine to let the product work and warm up my lips before makeup.
Pure Smile is made in Korea but you can see Japanese characters on it because it is sold in Japan. I have also received their facial sheet masks in various boxes. Their stuff are alright.. (I have to be honest that their products are sometimes a hit or miss), but do not cost a fortune to repurchase. If you are ever looking to try sheet masks, I would personally recommend Pure Smile over say….Purederm. 😛
I know of some other sites selling this lip treatment for a hefty $9.90 but Memebox has it at $5 and it is always sold out because of its popularity! Drop this into your wishlist, and who knows if Memebox will take notice of the demand and restock it! 😉

Pure Smile has a bunch of other flavors for this lip treatment range namely chocolate, milk, mix-fruits and strawberry. It all sounds super exciting, and I hope we will see this Memefavorite on the site in future. Check out the company site here (in Japanese);

I am a hoarder of hand creams and I was thrilled to see one in this box! The Enesti Apple and Honey Shea Butter Hand cream is 50g and retails for $5.
I cannot explain with words how good this smells!! Like MAGIC? I wish you can get a whiff through your screen.. 😛
This smells really sweet and it reminds me of a shower gel my little nephew uses, but better lol. I love sweet scents a lot and will pop this into my handbag immediately after my Secret Key one is gone (from Floral scentbox). I will always keep a hand cream in it because my work in dermatology requires a ton of disinfectants all day long. I risk ruining my hand with alcohol from patient to patient so hand creams are my savior, really. 🙂
The Enesti hand cream moisturizes really well and kept my hands from getting dry and wrinkly even in the coldest weather (it was 2 degrees Celcius here lately).
I really can’t find any fault in this! The only problem I have is probably where to find a replacement of it once it runs out~ Fortunately, Memebox has it ready-to-stock on their site!

Enesti seems to have a whole lot of perfumes on their webpage, which explains their expertise in scents. I don’t mind seeing more of their scented products on Memebox, really. In fact I am rooting for a perfume to be in my Meme Pouch essentials! 🙂

My next favorite product must be the Edmong Honeybee Water Cream (50ml, $29).
This is no ordinary cream as it spreads from a gel to water consistency, hence the name “water cream”. It absorbs to leave my skin absolutely cool and fresh without a thick sheen some gel creams tend to have. I have a similar mask (from the Tea cosmetics box- echoice) and that one does leave a slight sheen. I don’t get any lint or hair in my face with the Edmong cream which is a huge plus!
Description: “Enriched with honey extracts, natural spring water, propolis extracts, aloe vera water, hyaluronic acid, and green tea extracts, this Honeybee Water Cream is a fast-absorbing moisturizer which strengths the skin’s natural restorative properties. It’s free of paraben, artificial coloring, mineral oil, benzophenone, BHT, talc, etc.
Gosh, the texture of this is just delicious. I mean, just look at it! ❤
The cream have a slight tea-jasmine-honey scent to it but does not linger after application. I would use this after essence (as a second step) and apply thicker serum or a light facial oil on top of it. Otherwise, I could just use a generous amount as a sleeping pack and wash it off the next morning to reveal a bright and even complexion! This is quickly becoming my staple night routine product.
(photo from the company site) I have tried this and it is an accurate depiction of what it does! ❤
I have not heard of the brand Edmong if it wasn’t for Memebox. I do spy a few other wants on their webpage~ *wipes drool*

The Daycell Essential Honey Lift Massage Cream is 150ml and costs $20. At first I thought it was a body massage cream but nope, this is for my face! It is a mix of honey, collagen and other nutritious ingredients that will firm and improve the skin’s elasticity. I think this will suit my mum’s skin more as she complains of the first signs of aging.
Oh hey the design and colors almost remind me of the Zivon Plu body scrub (which I absolutely love btw) from Memebox Hair & Body #1.
This product is a white cream that feels quite thick, albeit being dispensed out stickier…almost of a hair conditioner consistency. I almost think it smells like one of those Dove shampoo too. 😛 It is unique because we have to massage it on the face and do a gentle rolling process to boost absorption and blood circulation. Trust me, I have employed this technique occasionally and my skin looks well-rested and bright the next day. Or as Sandara Park from 2NE1 would call it; A botox without injections!
I woke up and washed my face as usual. It does feel more moisturized but I’m not sure if my daily skin care routine is working magic or if the result is from this product alone. I might need a longer time to report back the miracles, if any!
We do see this brand quite abit on the Memeshop recently (yes Re-DNA, Dr.Vita and pH Plan are some lines from the brand Daycell!). I predict more products from them in the future Memeboxes, especially the pH Plan apple products in the Mojito box. :O

Are we there yet? Nope!
I am skeptical about more Memebox hair products as I have tried a ton of them, mostly masks and wash-off treatments. This Mi Click Honey Treatment (30ml, $5) probably will last for 2-3 washes (I have a short bob atm). It claims to nourish my hair and treat damaged ends, which I don’t currently have though.
I followed the directions of use: shampoo-> towel dry-> apply this treatment -> rinse off after 5-10 minutes. It smells like the saloon I used to frequent as a kid. Not bad. I did not see a vast improvement or anything, though my hair feel soft and less frizzy I guess. This is one of those products I would not have purchased for myself if I was wondering down the hair product aisle, but am happy to have received for free to test out.

Huff huff…and finally, the last product in the box; the From Nature Multi Effect Honey Mask ($1). This mask contains real honey, collagen and 9 different herbals ingredients. It smells yummy and feels really cooling on my face. I think it does what it says it will; to soothe and brighten up the overall complexion.
You would use this like any normal masks; on a clean face for 15-20 minutes, remove and pat remaining essence for full absorbance. Nothing atypical at all. 🙂
The mask is not super wow or anything…I prefer the Skin Factory ampoule honey mask over this one (and Skin Factory was once upon a time introduced to me by Memebox too!). For only $1, this mask is worth trying for both honey and sheet masks lovers.

This box is undeniably amazing in terms of quality, value and range. It sums up to $102 in value and I trust the Memevalue of this one. ❤ The Migabee anti-pollution peeling gel would have made up for the cost of the box itself and I was so pleased to find everything else in this pink box– I can hardly place them back the way they came to me!
I am totally a Honey-convert now and will look forward to more future food-themed boxes~ 🙂 I would love to personally thank Memebox for this amazing curation. Words cannot express how indebted I am to Miss Lauren of their affiliates team for choosing us “small-fry” bloggers as their reviewers and organizing the new program altogether despite her heavy workload. 😉
