I love the concept for this month. We don’t often get body mists and lash curlers, and these kinda elevate the curation you know. 😀 Most of us beauty junkies have enough in our stash and useful daily items are what we seek!

image

The info card

♥♥♥

Shall we start of with this really pretty gold-plated lash curler from The Face Shop?

image

Photogenic from all angle 😀

I am currently using this one from Nature Republic and it is satisfactory, but this new lash curler couldn’t come at a better time because I needed a replacement!

image

I find Korean/ Japanese lash curlers really good and economical! They also come with a silicone strip as replacement when they become worn/ dirty after prolonged usage.

♥♥♥

The next item is the Holika Holika Pig Nose clear blackhead starter. This product is pretty much the gel that helps lift the gunk out of their lair! It is said to contain pink clay that absorbs excess sebum and soften those stubborn blackheads.

image

I don’t know how efficacious this is with one use, but I do adore the 3-step product from the same line. Seriously though, if anyone has a blackhead problem, try those nose strips for guaranteed satisfaction. This one might just be a great adjunct. We’ll see!

♥♥♥

The It’s Skin Mini Bebe mist is another item I looked forward to. I chose “shining apple” because I love sweeter, fresher scents. I can tell you that Korean hair fragrance/ body mists are all fabulous!!! Maybe I am generalizing things a little, but I have certainly not gotten any mist that smells bad. ❤

image

I can’t wait to pop this into my bag during summer. You know how horrid it can smell in the public transports in Europe after a hot day out. Blueh 😛 This is what I need since it is almost palm size and doesn’t weigh a brick.

♥♥♥

The Nature Republic Bulgarian rose essence is sort of like a toner slash mist which refreshes the skin after cleansing. It serves to ‘start’ (as the Koreans would like to call it) the makeup or skin care routine. I love that it is packed with Vitamin A and C, both antioxidants for brighter and younger skin.

image

Look how cute this is!

image

It smells only subtly of roses– for those who are afraid of strong rose scents. 🙂

♥♥♥

Another Nature Republic product is the Vivid Tint Bar (SPF 15 PA+). This one fits the May-lets-prepare-for-hotter-weather bag as it has sun protection on top of moisturizing and tinting.

image

♥♥♥

The Mik@tvonk Auto Eyeliner pencil is some of the few products I have not tested long enough from this bag. I have to admit I do have too many black eyeliners in my possession currently. One side seems to be matte and the other end shimmery. It did apply a little dry (not like those smooth kohl liners) and may tug at the eye lines. I’m on the edge about this, but I will give it more tries. The shimmery end seems interesting enough though!

♥♥♥

The May Island Donkey Milk Skin Mask came as a pair: Mela-Tox and Wrinkle filler. Did someone say donkey milk?

I jumped onto the bandwagon awhile ago, and loved some donkey milk-based products. It does sound squirmish as first, but they are great for people struggling with dry skin!

Ingredients;

image

Fortunately, my dry skin days are gone, so these might be passed over to my mum. I do like the 3-step concept, because you can just carry some of these masks while traveling and not worry about carrying your heavy tubes of cleanser and ampoule~ 🙂

♥♥♥

It is obvious that this month’s bag is one of the bloggers’ favs. I adore how color-coordinated this bag is~

image

Obviously the curations can be taken differently according to individual tastes, but this one is a winner across the globe~ I like how practical they are. Shall I reveal my <3?

image

YAS. 😀

You can get the regular BB bags and other product offers here: Beauteque.com (also sign up immediately for a $3 rebate) or find their other monthly subscriptions at Beautequemonthly.com. For mask lovers, rejoice because Beauteque is now offering Mask Maven too (10 mask/ month sub)!

This bag was sent for review purposes but the opinions are honest and true to my experience.

Roseroseshop Kbeauty haul April 2015

Apologies for being absent for quite awhile now…I was dealing with a few changes in my life and just had to take on the hiatus. I was glad, however, that I came home to this! ❤image

My Roseroseshop order finally arrived. It was all superbly packed and labelled perfectly. 🙂

Ordered 22/3/2015
Order shipped 27/3/2015
Received 7/4/2015

All-in-all, it took almost 16 days and communication was great. They actually replied and gave a RM tracking number. 😀

image

Everything was bubble-wrapped and nothing was damaged even after traveling half the globe. 🙂 Can you tell which packet I was most excited to rip apart? 😀

I just had to get these Herb Day cleansing tissue from The Face Shop. They are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Well, not to the level of those Japanese Biore wipes, but these are so affordable and great for sensitive skin.

image

I got my first pack from Beauteque and the rest is history! I have got a huge re-crush on makeup remover wipes since. They are so convenient to have and refreshes your face instantly.

image

These were manufactured this year and lasts all the way till 2017, so I am pretty pleased.

I also just had to get the Skin food cotton pads. Cotton pads all the way from Korea?? Yes, please!

image

I hear good things about it, and I love the embossed design.

Also finally got the OST C20 serum to test out since they were so cheap on RRS! Like the cheapest perhaps? I doubt that it will be fresh…like meh, maybe some old clearance stock or something but…

image

It was manufactured in February 2015!! Gosh thats great 😀

image

I am just finishing up my other vitamin serums so this will be the next in line!

The most exciting part of this haul is perhaps these babies;

image

Yes, 6 different shades of lippies! ❤

image

From top:
[ETUDE HOUSE] Color in Liquid Lips – 3.5g No.PK005 Pink In Dolly
[ETUDE HOUSE] Color in Liquid Lips – 3.5g No.PK001 Pink In Ribbon

[ETUDE HOUSE] Color in Liquid Lips – 3.5g No.PK008 Pink In Funk
[ETUDE HOUSE] Color in Liquid Lips – 3.5g No.PP502 Purple In Friday
[ETUDE HOUSE] Dear My Blooming Lips Talk (Pink Talk) – 3.4g No.PK012 Greed Pink
[ETUDE HOUSE] Dear My Wish Lips Talk – 3.5g No.PK001

image

I absolutely adore the packaging! To-die-for.

image

The first moment I set eyes on their pink range, I knew I had to get it.

image

I also saw this shade (PK001) on Get it Beauty, and was totally blown away as it received such good reviews and was voted the best red lippie in SK for the blind test.

These Color in Liquid lips are quite new as they were just released a few months back. They were always OOS on TTK and I got frustrated so shifted over to RRS. I’m so glad I did urgh…all the wait and no gratification was killing me~ 😛

image

So gorgeous… ❤

image

I’m wearing each every day. Perhaps a full Etude House lip review coming up next? 🙂

And of course, samples!!~ I’m happy with these. Some are new and I looove to try the Cosrx one.

image

My haul isn’t super deluxe but I love every bit of it. The shipping is slightly steeper than TTK’s ladder (there is a jump between $12-18) but all-in-all, it is well worth it. RRS has such a competitive pricing now that some sites are raising their prices, but I wish it was easier to navigate….. a button to sort out new products and possibly better tab system would have gotten me shopping there like 24/7.

image

The RRS haul is a winner and I can’t wait to shop with them again~ 🙂

Nep, not sponsored. 😛

Beauteque March BB Bag unbagging~ ♥ beautequemonthly

image

Whoop! The March edition of Beauteque’s BB Bag from Beautequemonthly.com. is finally here! This time, the theme is “Our Lips are Sealed”— it’s all about the best kept beauty secrets (and the lip print bag of course). Beauteque opens it’s monthly subscription early this year worldwide and we have already seen 3 glorious bags from them so far. Will this one be the best yet? Lets find out!

Info card;

image

I like that they improved on many aspects by listening to their subscribers/ bloggers. The product brand and name is so important for further online digging. 😉

image

This bag contains a total of 7 products altogether excluding the lip print bag! Although not all of the items fit into the bag this time, they were well packed in a bubble envelope. A the first glance, I picked up several items from my kbeauty wishlist! ❤

The Face Shop Herb Day Mugwort Massage Cream ($12) is an item I had in one of my (many) carts lol. I was super stocked to get this in a BB bag! The product is well heavy and could easily cost a fortune to ship to Europe but I was eager to try this. 🙂

image

It looks exactly like a creamy moisturizer! I was half expecting it to be as balmy as Banila Co.’s Clean it zero but nope, it is a cream as named. The cream smells like a mixture of herbs and flowers which I can’t put my finger on, but I’m alright with that.

imageimage

(above: eyeliner cleansing test)

The cream spreads so easily like melted butter and upon massaging, dirt and makeup comes off with a swipe of a cotton pad. I know, the instructions did recommend using a cleansing foam after but hey, it works so well even without! 😀

image

My skin feels soft as if it has been moisturized with a lotion already. I did use it a couple more times with cleansers and realized that my skin feels less tugged/ dry after. I’m absolutely pleased with this massage cream and think it is indeed a fabulous find~ 😉

Etude House Look at My Eyes Cafe (Sweet Potato latte- $9.50) is a color I have not owned. I remember adding one of these babies into my mum’s gift parcel from Etude House but oh hey, I got one for myself now too~

image

And yes, sweet potato latte is a real thing in Korea;

source: Caffebene

I digress.
This eyeshadow is a pretty grey rose x dark purple combination but when swatched it is surprisingly more wearable than it looks. Yay, at least I don’t look like I have a blue-black eye even with my amateurish shadow skills.

image

Swatch:

image

It is not pigmented enough, but works nicely when used with lighter shimmer colors for shading. It does have some shimmer bits in it (not sure if you can see from the photo). I recommend this with a peachy or nude pink shade. ❤ Couple that with Etude House’s tear drop liner and omagah you will look like a doll.

I was spazzing over Beauteque Mineral’s Facial brush few bags ago and whoop! A Pore Brush! The Beauteque pore control blackhead brush ($15) is a wonderful surprise in this bag. I mean, skin care and makeup is cool, but a beauty tool can be a girl’s best friend sometimes.

image

The pore brush is portable and light but of decent quality. It also comes with a knotted rope so that we can hang it to dry after use.

image

And the bristles are so sooooffftt! ❤ Gosh, I don’t care for pore brush before but I am ready to be a convert. Bring it on.

The other item which made up the weight of the bag was The Face Shop’s Rice Toner ($12). I would be honest and say I have not tried this toner yet because of the gazillion bottles of toner lying around in my house at the moment. i will come back to this soon and report back, but at the meantime I shall offer my first opinions after a background check on it.

image

That word  米 (read: mi / mĭ) means rice and that is what this stuff is made of. I like how minimalistic the design is!

imageimage

Ingredients, instructions and expiration date.

The ingredients seem to focus on whitening and moisturizing- two things Asian women staying in 4-season countries are concerned about. I guess this would not be everyone’s cup of tea (or bottle or toner) but I might actually like this!

Just in case you are worried about the freshness because of how cheaply you can get the Beauteque products fret not, this whole bag seems to be proper new.

The Tony Moly Mini Bling Pocket Hair Pack ($3) is a mask for the hair– yes ladies, it is a thing now. I have used several hair caps myself and find them tedious but often yield really good results. Gosh where do all the Korean ladies find time to do this lol.

image

The instructions are pretty simple (illustrated). This mask seems to be for the pony tail bit only though, which means sorry short hair ladies… maybe a full cap one/ hair treatment masque is what you should look for! :O

image

Okay, Beauteque seems to forsee this so they kinda zip-locked the Mizon modelling cup pack (firming, $8) to avoid messing up the whole bag which is smart of them. 😛

image

Modeling packs are getting popular lately, because they come in all sorts of ‘function’ and ‘flavors’ 😛 You name it, I bet you can find it. Companies were also scrambling to sell the bowls and pack brushes for these packs. Lucrative business they are!

Anyways, the tricky bit is to add the right amount of water to make a creamy but not drippy mask. 15-20 minutes on the face and you are good to go.

image

I do recommend DIY-ing your modeling packs (at your own risk though) with patting waters, essences, facial oils and even milk/ yoghurt! These are some combinations I have tried and enjoyed. Just imagine this as making a nutritious cup of mixed fruit juice. 🙂

The A’Pieu Take My Hands Nail Sheet Pack ($5) contains 10 cute little finger gloves that nourishes nails and calm cuticles (yes I have angry cuticles). Anyone who keeps messing their nails up with various toppers, harsh removers and etcetera might appreciate a good 15-minute therapy.

image

Instructions;

image

I think this bag is pretty solid in terms of the product diversity. I absolutely adore that massaging cream and pore brush. That said, I do like to see even more uncommon things in the future BB bags- perhaps a wicked dark purple creamy lip stick, a cute mixing bowl set (as shown above) or a lovely lychee sugar hair spray! Who knows what the next bags will bring.

image

This bag costs $24 (singly) or cheaper with longer subs (click Beautequemonthly.com. to find out) and shipping costs vary between countries. Each of their bags contains at least 7 beauty/ lifestyle products in total! As of today, it is still available for purchase. 🙂

You can get the regular BB bags and other product offers on Beauteque.com (sign up immediately for a $3 rebate) or find their other monthly subscriptions at Beautequemonthly.com. For mask lovers, rejoice because Beaeteque is now offering Mask Maven too (10 mask/ month sub)!
