Beauteque Head to Toe Breakfast Bag unbagging & review

image Ahoj~ I’ve gotten this Beauteque Head to Toe Breakfast bag last week and given some of it a try. It looks promising at first glance. I know I would love at least half of it already. ❤ You can still get this on Beauteque.com or if you are more interested in monthly subs then take a look at their Beautequemonthly.com site 😀 (more at the bottom of this post~) The info card showing the product names and directions of use;

image

This time, Beauteque gave us a blue floral zip-around bag. It fits everything!

image

There is also a handle on top. I have not used a bag like this since….idk. If you would put in those insulating foams, this will work as a picnic lunchbag too~ 😉

Tony Moly Magic Food Banana Hand Milk ($10)

I was most excited for this hand cream. You probably know that I am a sucker for hand creams and beautiful packaging so this is a killer combo!

image image

Screw-top banana that dispenses banana cream? 😀 It smells like those artificial banana essence used to make banana cakes/ breads but I don’t really mind it.. Texture wise this is abit like body butters rather than cream.

image

Its a shame one tube contains so little product and is not really reusable (I always clean and refill my fruit containers). However, I would recommend this as a gift to anyone! It is pretty novel and the hand cream isn’t bad. 🙂

Skin Food Bath Fizzer ($12)

I don’t have a bath tub here in my student accommodation, but I could always use an excuse to find one 😛 I love bath fizzers/salts/bombs! This one is in Green Tea (chosen from other options) and packaged in an egg tray. Points for creativity!

image image

It does not smell like most green tea products at all in its solid form. This bath fizzer smells more herbal/organic and can come off too strong for some. I can’t describe exactly– this scent is a hit or miss.

image

The fizzers contains green tea powder rich in catechin and polyphenol, plus they add luster and resilience to skin. I am tempted to try the other types— honey jasmine and peppermint sounds lovely!

Etude House Sunshine in Spoon Scrub massage Yoghurt ($6)

This is a product that I have tried in the past but don’t mind getting again. They come in various types; Sugar Apple and Raspberry. I love both flavors equally and can’t say which is better…Both smells delicious. 😛

image

As the name suggests, this is a gentle scrub which requires a couple of minutes of massaging. After cleansing, your skin will feel smooth and supple.

image

Ingredients list can be found here. If you love yoghurt products that smells so good that they are almost edible, I suggest checking out Innisfree’s yoghurt packs and Laneige’s multiberry yoghurt sleeping packs. Those are my top 2 yoghurt loves~ ❤

Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask ($5)

There is a bloom of basic pantry ingredients products lately- egg, mayonnaise, sugar, salt. You name it. It may sound iffy at first but some of those do work for me!

image

And don’t worry, this one does not smell of poultry or rotten eggs at all! Amazingly it is also free of paraben, mineral oils, benzopenone-9, and triethanolamine, making the mask suitable for sensitive skin.

image

I do think anyone who wants brighter skin should try this. Another product from this range which I felt was worth trying is their Mousse Pack.

They were some of TCFS’s bestsellers.

I love TCFS for their whimsical and original designs. I bet many do too, and that prompts counterfeiters to mass-produce fakes to sell on Ebay. Please be aware~ Thankfully, we can trust Beauteque for their authentic product curations.

Echoice Fermented Tea Drinks Sleeping Pack ($12)

I have had another tube of this sleeping pack and used more than half of it already. While it contains all the goodness of jasmine, rose and green tea, this pack is incredibly mild. Not that it does nothing, but it puts on a coat to protect the skin against drying in the driest of winter.

image

Texture wise, it is a lucent cream which spreads like watery gel. It does not smell of anything in particular…probably only slightly of tea.

image image

I would not say this is an amazing product. it did not wow me but I would still use it once in awhile…like vaseline lol. E choice produces some really cheap but okay products. Their marketing strategy seems to be to promote a “Good price market” standpoint (similar to the next product by Evas). Most of their hand creams, cleansers etc are only $2-5! 😀

Evas Vitamin Cleansing Foam ($10)

I had hopes for this…but the reviews were not promising. The lovely girls of Reddit and MuT investigated the pH and found that this was pH10– too alkaline for the skin. 😦 I am not huge on pH but I know that 10 is incredibly high. Oddly though, this claims to contain vitamins, AHA etc and I would have assumed that this is slightly acidic but thats not the case.

image

First impressions seemed to be alright but urgh I will not be using this myself.

image

I don’t know if anyone would…this will go into my free items stash. :/

I like Evas. I mean, they make some really good products like the MaRait perfumes and Kiss the Perfume cherry blossom hair stuff. This just isn’t it.

Lastly, Beauteque’s lifestyle product this month: a cherry apron! That was quite unexpected.

image

I lol-ed at the price marked for each products. They tallied up to an RRP of around $25 + some shipping. I do think this one had the lowest retail price of all the bags I have received before…I didn’t mind that because I love the first three products and think that the beauty bag serves a purpose: for us to discover things that we otherwise wouldn’t buy for ourselves.

image Kudos to the team for putting up a mix of products each time. Would you purchase this bag for the fun of it? You can get the regular BB bags and other product offers here: Beauteque.com (also sign up immediately for a $3 rebate) or find their other monthly subscriptions at Beautequemonthly.com. For mask lovers, rejoice because Beauteque is now offering Mask Maven too (10 mask/ month sub)!

This bag was sent for review purposes but the opinions are honest and true to my experience.

Memebox Special #69 My Pouch Essentials

image

I actually bought this because I liked the first Memebox’s Pouch (reviewed here). The Memebox Special #69 My Pouch Essentials was purchased as a bundle along with the Cleanse & Tone Memebox for a total of $46 ($23 each) plus express shipping cost of $6.99.

Honestly, I was already disappointed when I held the box. It felt super light and when I opened it up, there were only 6 tiny products…

Info-card;

image

LOL at the picture of that Hanskin BB cream. I wished it was that pot size instead of a puny thumb-sized one.

image

This box would have been a hit if Memebox wasn’t stingy with the Witch’s Pouch Radiant Lolli (2.5g sample size…$7?). I have gotten the 03 Funky Bloom. It is a light pink tint. Although the name says tint, it is actually super light and is more of a gloss.. I get why people like this tint.

The color is pretty and it smells (and taste) delicious– of sweet cherry juice or something. It applies beautifully and is fab for creating gradients. Only negative point is that the staying power is kinda bleh and goes off within an hour or so.

image

Despite that, this tint is actually my fav in the box and I couldn’t be happier to get the light pink shade. I have been getting too much reds and orange from Memeboxes perhaps.

My second fav is another repeat: the Hanskin Bio Origin Ampoule BB SPF30 PA++ 4.5ml ($6.9?). This is a thumb-sized sample. Again, I wish Memebox could just throw in a full-sized BB cream for us or at least add in several samples from the brand. This is pretty stingy since I love this BB cream!!

image

The formulation is like creamy velvet and suits my skin tone so well. Not the best for coverage, but it does not cake or dry up your skin at all! I would consider purchasing more Hanskin BB creams if they weren’t so expensive and hard to come by…

Next up is a pretty raved concealer: Tony Moly Face Mix Cover Pot Concealer (4g, $5) in 01 Light Beige. The shade I got is the lightest but suits me well.

image

I reckon this would be fab to conceal pigmentations and dark under-eye but not dry patches/pimples. The formula is pretty creamy and blends out nicely. I tried this several times myself and it seems to cover mild discolorations.

image

Swatch

Despite how light it looks on my finger, it actually matches my skin tone after blending. Moisturize well and use a mini concealer brush/ angled sponge to apply this. 🙂

The next one could have been on a higher rank of the list had it not been too powdery. The Kwailnara Perfume de Moist Hand Cream Glam Savanna (50g, $4) is a musky floral cream with various oils and nourishing ingredients.

image

I love all hand creams and am keeping this for future use although its musky..

Another Tony Moly product: TM Crystal Stick Shadow 1.35g ($5) in 02 Luxury Gold. I’m not sure if I would keep this. One on hand, I wanted to try a stick shadow from TM but on the other, gold just isn’t an easy color to wear unless you are going to a dinner party or something posh.

image

This comes in various other shades as well.

Last item from the box is the Rosemine Vitamin E Lip Balm Rose Fairy (12g, $7). It’s a fruity, floral scented lip balm with Vit E, perfect for dry and chapped lips.

image

I have a couple of other things from Rosemine. Although they aren’t duds, the products are nothing to shout about either. One glance and ohhhh the packagings are so cute. Another and you’d roll your eye at the realization that its a blatant imitation of the brand Cath Kidston… 😦

Nuff said about this box. I do love half of the products in this and would use most of it. My only qualm is the fact that it isn’t as substantial as other $23 Memeboxes we had so far. I’d name this the official Lovable Stingy Box.

♥♥♥

This is one of my fav boxes in a long time! Many ladies are requesting for a restock–and this just means it is that awesome. I have to say from the moment I opened it up, I already caught sight of 3 products that I might love~ ♥

I got this Memebox as a bundle with the Memebox Moisture Surge  (priced at $46 + $6.99 for expedited shipping) and I got to say it was soooo worth it!

♥♥♥

I am OB-SESSED with this Evas by MaRait EDP 30ml ($30). The one I got is No.60 Baies Noires (which actually translates to Blackcurrant in French). The other two options (randomly selected) are No.8 It’s a Fine Day and No.72 Petite Princesse. I wonder how those actually smell!!

On the first whiff it smells of berries, but not your typical fresh market or fruit juice type of smell. I don’t know how to describe it but it smells somewhat special…

image

Initially I thought nothing much about this perfume, until #memeboxaddict on IG commented on how she love it. I went back to my box and gave it another spritz. After the second and third, I got hooked!

image

Imagine blended blackcurrants but omit the sour smell of berries. It’s like that! Probably it does not smell sour as it is masked by other notes such as grapefruit, bay leaf and cedar wood. I was sad my perfume leaked a little when it arrived. The staying power is only up to 2-3 hours unless you actually douse yourself in this stuff.

image

Ingredients and cautions

9 muses Hyemi actually modeled for this range! I was not surprised as Korean cosmetics companies start using celebrities to promote their products once they succeed in breaking into the market. I would love to see more of these perfumes on the Memeshop!

♥♥♥

Another favourite is the Etude House blotting paper pact ($6). One, because EH is such a famous brand and two, because we never seen a blotting paper in pact form!

image

It is pretty handy, but the paper is too thin! Upon blotting, it actually falls off when it gets too oily…erm..

image

I do adore the packaging alot and I think I would get those Japanese Gatsby/Mentholatum/Kose blotting papers and cut them up to refill this pact! There is a small tape under the sponge, and I think I can easily replace that with double tape as well lol~

♥♥♥

And gosh did people go crazy over this Croquis Alight Pact (10g, $35)! I don’t use a lot of brighteners at all as I am already pale and dewy with my natural makeup look routine. I see a few ladies in USA wanting to trade for/buy this, but sadly I am in Europe and no one would want to pay for shipping… 😦

image

I like how posh this looks! Yay to not being a dollarshop item~

image

This can be applied with a large brush to areas that needs more definition. It gives a silky finish to your makeup and I think it makes a fab contouring product too with bronzer-> powder-> this pact… Hello cheekbones!

♥♥♥

Another product by Evas is the Rosemine Perfumed Hand Cream (60ml, $12) in the scent Maybe.

Yeah, me too. I was like wth do you mean “Maybe” scent? Are the developers of this on crack and can’t tell what’s in it?
Apparently yes, there are poppy notes in this LOL (okay, I do know the drug is from the unripe sap and not the flower… just for jokes).

image

Don’t get me wrong, it does smell fab. Besides poppy, it also smells of lychee and apricot. Yum~ I don’t mind another hand cream at all. I use them everyday and I can slap some on my legs as well so these are always welcomed in Memeboxes!

♥♥♥

Remember me being a fan of the Korean beauty Eugene? I was ecstatic to get another drww product; the Mix & Match set (1.5gx5, $47). This product was actually in another Memebox (Superbox #5 Makeup).

image

Okay, tbh I only do a full makeup once in a blue moon and would rather send this to someone who actually uses lip and cheek products daily than waste it. BUT I might actually keep this if no one wants it.

image

It looks so much like an art palette. Ahhhh the dilemma.
There is even a small round part for mixing. The more I review this, the more I want to try it lol~

image

The back

I was wishing for an actual pouch like this drww one but nope, no pouch in the Memepouch. I know I should not be expecting specific things for a mystery beauty box but hey, a girl can always dream..

This would totally rock the box and make hundreds shed tears of regret for missing the Memebox.

♥♥♥

The last item is the Valley Sous Hair Solution Protein Therapy Perfect Mist (150ml, $21).
This is a hair essence enriched with argan oil, rosehip oil and assai oil.

image image

It smells of musk, blueberries and lilies! I would say it is only very lightly scented and not a perfume-heavy product. It also says to use this before blow drying. I am currently on my L’oreal Mythic Oil/ Palan Crysence (from a Memebox global) and I think this might be a good substitute after those are gone. Darn, I only have one head of hair. Grr..haha..

♥♥♥

This box certainly exceeded my expectations! I only pick it up to get the value set+ express shipping with my Moisture Surge box but yay, what a surprise!

image

Did you get this box and how do you like it? I think it is value for money (Memevalue: $151, I valued it at: $87).

Do check out the other available memeboxes here and use my promo codes. These are good till the end of October and gives a discount of $5 off all orders (good for one use each).
